Lean for Services
Lean Management (Lean) is getting more and more popular. The method was developed in the industry, but has proven to be very powerful for service organizations as well.
In production organizations the processes are tangible and product and material flows are clearly visible. Service organizations do not process materials, they mainly process information. The customer is also involved in, and sometimes part of, the process. So when applying Lean in Service organizations some translation is needed to be successful.
